G4ICARUS CS HF/TF Simultaneous or Individual Carbon and Sulfur Analyzer For rapid and precise Carbon and Sulfur analysis -even at ppm levels- the automatic analyzer G4 ICARUS CS HF proves highly effective, especially with metallic materials. The solid sample, placed in a ceramic crucible, is combusted in a high-frequency furnace in an oxygen stream. The power of the HF furnace is adjustable in order to achieve optimum combustion. The resulting reaction gases CO2 and SO2 are measured by solid-state IR detectors of maximum selectivity and sensitivity. The system is characterized by an easy operation and automatic evaluation by means of an external PC. The Benifits:
- Short analysis time, nearly maintenance-free operation
- Continuously adjustable HF furnace power for optimum sample combustion in ceramic crucible
- Analyzer with long term stable, selective NDIR detection system with high resolution, two measuring ranges for CO2 and one for SO2
- Automatic base line compensation/zero adjustment, Automatic Level Control (ALC)
- Automatic optimum range selection
- Easy to operate via external PC with Windows-Software, automatic evaluation, storage of sample information, data storage for follow-up assessment of all analyses
- Data transfer via FTP or local network connection
G8 GALILEO - Oxygen, Nitrogen and Hydrogen Analyzer For the determination of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Hydrogen, the solid sample is fused in a graphite crucible under a flowing inert gas stream. The freely programmable temperature of the electrode furnace is monitored and controlled by a contact-free optical sensor. The evolved measuring gases CO, N2 and H2 are swept by the carrier gas to the high-stable, sensitive detection system, consisting of a selective NDIR-detector for CO (or optional two) and a thermal conductivity cell (TCD) for the detection of N2 or H2. The calibration can be made using reference material (standard samples) or by means of an optionally built in gas dosing unit. An integrated cleaning system for the impulse furnace and an automatic crucible loader, are available as options as well as an external hot extraction furnace with a quartz tube for the determination of diffusible hydrogen. The Application: The G8 GALILEO is suitable for the rapid determination of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Hydrogen in many different kinds of material, e.g. steel, iron, alloys, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, titanium and alloys, zirconium and alloys, ores, ceramics, cement and many more.
The Benifits:
- Short analysis times, automatic operation
- Programmable temperature up to 2500°C, contact-free optical sensor for temperature measurement and accurate control
- Easy conversion by software from the simultaneous analysis of Oxygen and Nitrogen to the determination of Hydrogen, external furnace for diffusible Hydrogen optional
- Long term stable detection system with NDIR detector for CO and thermal conductivity cell for N2 and H2
- Automatic base line compensation/zero adjustment of all detectors, Automatic Level Control (ALC), automatic optimum range selection for all elements
- Easy to operate via external PC with Windows-Software, automatic evaluation, storage of sample information, data storage for follow-up assessment of all analyses
- Data transfer via FTP or local network connection possible
- Instrument also available as single-element analyzer or in other element configurations.
G4 PHOENIX DH - Determination of diffusible Hydrogen The G4 PHOENIX DH has been developed for the determination of the diffusible hydrogen in different sample matrices. The analysis system comprises a rapid heating infrared clamshell furnace and/or a wire-heated tube furnace, both equipped with a quartz tube for heating of the sample. The diameter of the tube in the infrared furnace is 30 mm so that even big samples like weld seams according to EN/ISO 3690 and AWS A4.3 can be analyzed without problems. A simple and reliable calibration is guaranteed by the integrated automatic gas dosing unit with 10 different volumes. The heart of the analyzer is a highly sensitive and long term stable thermal conductivity detector for reading even smallest hydrogen contents.
Benifits:
- Temperature programmable infrared furnace, temp. up to 900°C, rapid heating and cooling, tube diameter 30 mm, e.g. for welding samples according to EN/ISO 3690 and AWS A4.3
- Wire heated tube furnace, temp. adjustable up to 1200°C, tube diameter 18 mm
- Long term stable thermal conductivity cell with automatic base line compensation/zero adjustment, Automatic Level Control (ALC) and optimum range selection
- Integrated gas calibration unit with 10 volumes
- Easy to operate via external PC with Windows-Software, automatic evaluation, storage of sample information, data storage for follow-up assessment of all analyses
- Evaluation selectable in ppm or ml/100 g
- Data transfer via FTP or local network connection possible
- The G4 PHOENIX analysis as well as reporting structure are compliant to norms AWS A4.3 and ISO 3690
